Responsibilities

• Translating customer order documentation and relevant approved specifications inherent in the job.
• Controlling and coordinating the scheduling and metals control of material/orders and their process routes, maintaining process and other stocks at minimum levels, cycling slow moving stock effectively.
• Loads and allocating material to orders matching the needs of the customer whilst making best use of available resources, ensuring that all material complies with and is processed using the required procedures, etc.
• Controlling all aspects of the manufacturing cycle taking corrective actions to meet due dates and minimise late orders. Liaises with customer on changes to order requirements giving advice on individual and combined effects on workload etc.
• Translating customer documentation into clear manufacturing instructions by calculation, identification, recording and route compilation.
• Obtains from manufacturing, technical department new or alternative routes where departures from normal procedures and material is required.
• Clarifies and actions via Routes/Systems and work documentation, special requirements such as heat treatment, split loads, multiple cutting instructions etc.
