£33,000 - £35,000 + company pension & excellent employee benefits

Are you an experienced Engineer with first class communication skills? Are you technical in nature, adaptable and schedule driven? We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a well established, international firm in Skelmersdale. This is an important, varied role where you will ensure that quality, technical and engineering problems are solved.

As Project Engineer you will:

- Convert new projects into Production and be the Engineering resource for Production and Sales when required

- Work alongside the Quality / Technical Manager to control all aspects of New Product Introduction

- Be focused on continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and waste reduction

- Aid in the development of new processes and systems

- Support the quality and inspection function on a daily basis with a practical hands on involvement

- Communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders on a daily basis and work towards eliminating sources of non conformance

- Liaise with customers, managers and staff to ensure New Product Introductions are implemented and controlled correctly

- Support the sales team on Quotations whilst clarifying customers work in accordance with relevant release requirements

- Ensure all quality aspects of customer requirements are maintained

- Be committed to a right first time approach to all tasks carried out

Experience needed

- A qualification in an Engineering Discipline

- Direct experience of standard Quality Engineering tools, skills and tasks, e.g. 8D, RCCA, pFMEA, Gauge R&R, 5S, Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Techniques

- Team work, a, concern for accuracy and quality, good communication skills, flexibility, initiative, a customer focused attitude, a hands on approach and good planning and organisational skills
