Seeking contracting work in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry? Looking to be a part of a well-established company and brand? We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our prestigious clients on a long term contact basis.

The right candidate will demonstrate experience in work with OEM's and demonstrate experience working with multi-disciplinary team and suppliers and bring manufacturing process knowledge and exceptional leadership skills to efficiently manage supplier to achieve product process maturity, capability and ongoing efficiency improvements.
You will need to have excellent communication skills, are flexible in your approach to work and are used to problem solving under pressure.

Duties include but are not limited to

  • As part of a multi-disciplined team, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluation and nominating new suppliers, steering supplier launch and quality departments to develop and manage the pre-serial activities in line with the companies group Project Milestones.
  • You will be responsible for the approval of parts quality prior to launch and in serial production.
  • To manage critical supplier concerns, ensuring in series the supplier is adhering to the standards and targets set by the companies process partners.
  • Responsible for problems associated with your supplier scope and conducting root cause analysis to determine long and short-term solutions in a timely manner and escalating issues as appropriate.

This position will offer the candidate £21.88 per hour.

Skills and experience required.

  • Apprentice and/or Degree (or equivalent) in a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering discipline would be beneficial.
  • Experience in Original Equipment Manufacturing / OEM's/
  • Language skills would be an advantage to support international supplier contacts.
  • A strong knowledge of Manufacturing processes, production quality control methods and systems, quality management systems, tools, and maturation processes.
  • An Ability to take ownership of problems and find solutions, with the confidence to make and enforce decisions within pressurised situations.
