If you are seeking long term contract work in Automotive Manufacturing and are an experienced Quality Engineer, we have an immediate start available now!

The right candidate will demonstrate experience in working with OEM's and have experience in working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and suppliers.

You will need to bring your manufacturing process knowledge and leadership skills to efficiently manage suppliers and achieve product process maturity, capability, and ongoing efficiency improvements.

Duties include but are not limited to

• As part of a multi-disciplined team, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluation and nominating new suppliers, steering supplier launch and quality departments to develop and manage the pre-serial activities in line with the companies group project milestones.
• You will be responsible for the approval of parts quality prior to launch and in serial production.
• To manage critical supplier concerns, ensuring the supplier is adhering to the standards and targets set by the company.
• Responsible for problems associated with your supplier scope and conducting root cause analysis to determine long and short-term solutions in a timely manner and escalating issues as appropriate.

Skills and experience required.

• Apprenticeship and/or Degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline would be beneficial.
• A strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production quality control methods and systems, quality management systems, tools, and processes.
• OEM Experience or similar
• Language skills would be an advantage to support international supplier contacts.
• An Ability to take ownership of problems and find solutions, with the confidence to make and enforce decisions within pressurised situations.
