Due to succession planning, Vibe Recruit's client, an established international manufacturer and hire/distributor are looking to appoint an experienced & successful Regional Sales Manager to join their UK sales team, based from their Derby depot.
You will be responsible for generating hire and sales within a defined geographical area within their East and West Midlands region to promote their full range of bespoke industrial products, accessories, and services.
You will prospect for new customers as well as service and maintain their existing portfolio sectors and any other sectors you deem appropriate.
Duties during the 1st few weeks
- Create a 30/60 and 90 day plan of the area
- Work through their existing files
- Familarise yourself with their equipment and visit existing sites
- Shadow the current RSM to familarise yourself with their products, applications and processes.
Duties thereafter
- Attend site visits and meet customers
- Spend approx. 4 days/week out on the field attending appointments
- Complete site surveys
- Develop hire and sales revenue from new and existing customers.
- Target and develop key customers from the industrial, water, quarrying and civil engineering sector
- Complete call sheet for each visit
- Liaise with the hire desk daily
- Raise any quotations
- Report on current week's activities with a short weekly report
- Chase up outstanding quotations
- Plan for following week's activity
- One day per week attend a morning debrief in the depot
Requirements
- Experience or knowledge from a technical/engineering background would be preferable
- Sales experience is essential, rental experience will be an advantage
- Knowledge of the geographical area
- Ability to work autonomously
- Comfortable to work on site occasionally, helping installation team
- Full UK driving licence
