Job Description

Vibe Recruit's client is growing nationally and as a result, they are seeking an experienced, talented and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their successful team based in Cardiff.

The role of a Senior Quantity Surveyor includes the following responsibilities:

  • Leading service delivery on behalf of the business, reporting directly to the relevant Director.
  • Liaison with design teams, contractors and client representatives.
  • Preparing estimates cost plans, cash-flows and reports
  • Assisting with procurement, including drafting tender documents and preparing tender reports.
  • Preparation of monthly payment certificates and financial reporting.
  • Administering the conditions of contract.
  • Assessment of variations
  • Final accounts
  • Manage professional fees to budget and ensuring that a quality service is delivered to all our clients.

The minimum requirements of the role include:

  • Degree qualified.
  • Proven track record in the industry.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a Consultancy.
  • Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of JCT and NEC Contracts.
  • Willingness and ability to challenge in a positive and engaging manner.
  • Experience of risk and value management processes.

Preferred requirements of the role include:

  • Membership of RICS, or similar is preferred.
  • Experience of bid submissions.
  • Prior line management and/or mentoring experience.
