Supported Living SW

Vibe Care Agency are seeking experienced Support Workers for our adult supported living services in Oxfordshire.

We looking for workers who are able to get to locations in Banbury, Witney & Wallingford, for various shifts including earlies, lates, long days & waking nights.

This role is ideal if you are looking for a flexible role, working when you are available, to fit around any other commitments you may have.

We're looking for candidates who have experience in working in adult supported living settings. If you have a caring and compassionate nature and enjoy working with adults with learning disabilities & autism to live fulfilling lives, this could be the role for you.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism & complex needs
• Minimum 12 months experience working for a social care agency or 6 months in a permanent support role
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to promote and encourage individuals to be independent & empowered.
• Experience supporting individuals who may display behaviours that challenge
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Dedicated, honest and reliable

Main responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical and learning disabilities, complex needs & autism.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Daily tasks may include supporting with personal care, meal preparation, daily tasks/ activities.
• Accompanying individuals to medical appointments and social outings
• Monitor and report any changes in individuals behaviours or health conditions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of individual interactions and progress
