Coded TIG Welder

A leading UK manufacturer, specialising in precision sheet metal fabrication and high-specification welding, primarily for high-tech and regulated industries such as healthcare, rail, nuclear, and renewable energy, now has a need for additional, skilled TIG Welders.

Based in Oxfordshire, the company is particularly renowned for producing complex vessel assemblies and precision components.

The company has a large team of highly skilled coded welders and utilises advanced robotic and semi-automated systems for manufacture.

Duties

• Carry out required welding using a mixture of TIG and MIG welding techniques
• Follow information provided on Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Carry out all welding tasks to required safety, quality and efficiency standards
• Be able to efficiently complete a number of non-welding activities
• Be flexible and willing to learn new process and products in line with business needs
• Engage in continued improvement ideas

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in a precision manufacturing environment
• Experience with TIG, ideally working on pressure vessels or similar
• Able to work directly from drawings
• Experience with a selection of fabrication techniques
• Familiar with ASME IX - BS EN ISO 9606-1 Welding Standards or similar
• MIG Welding experience beneficial

Shift work 14.15 to 22.25pm
