Location: Ammanford
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

We are recruiting an experienced Transport Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in Ammanford, taking responsibility for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of a busy national distribution fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of a mixed HGV and van fleet.

• Plan delivery routes and collections to maximise vehicle utilisation.

• Ensure compliance with Operator Licence, DVSA and Working Time Directive requirements.

• Act as the nominated Transport Manager on the Operator Licence.

• Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections and defect reporting.

• Monitor tachographs, driver hours and performance.

• Lead and support drivers and loading teams.

• Manage transport costs, fuel usage and operational performance.

• Promote high standards of health & safety and continuous improvement.

About You

• CPC in Road Haulage - National or International

• Valid HGV Category C+E licence

• Up-to-date Driver CPC

• Previous Transport Manager/fleet management experience.

• Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance.

• Confident leader with a proactive, hands-on approach.
