Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Newport

Salary:: £30,000K - £40,000K per year

Monday - Friday

The Role

Transport planning according to customer's production plan and requirements

Arranging multi drop deliveries for the following day

Arranging any urgent same day deliveries

Customer service on site:

Assign drivers as appropriate to meet collection/delivery schedules.

Prioritising workload, route planning driver brief and de-brief

Booking the deliveries in with the end customers

Checking costs on Mandata daily to make sure they match customer's rates

Being the first point of contact for any transport related queries and claims

Contacting the drivers regarding delivery queries

Subbing the loads out to subcontractors when the operations require it

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Experience in transport planning

Ability to work flexibly and to make decisions quickly

Confident in all Microsoft suite especially excel.

Experience using transport management systems

Good at problem solving

Experience planning multiple projects/contracts

Experience working in a pressurised environment

Experience with Purchase Orders, Quotes etc
