Job Description

The Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the warehouse team to fulfill business objectives, collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel and visitors by identifying workplace risks, implementing safe practices, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain adherence to quality system requirements, including inspections of incoming materials.
  • Implement procedures to ensure accurate stock recording and traceability in real-time within the MRP system.
  • Facilitate the supply and return of materials for production in alignment with the production plan.
  • Maintain a well-organized workspace with high standards of housekeeping to support operational targets and uphold the company's image.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and annual stock checks to verify stock accuracy.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and inspection of warehouse equipment.
  • Implement waste management procedures and collaborate with key stakeholders to minimize waste.
  • Manage operations within financial budgets and promote cost efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate warehouse operations' effectiveness.
  • Enforce company rules and safety protocols for external drivers and visitors.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure adherence to people processes and provide necessary support and tools for team success.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a senior warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Demonstrated experience in team management and motivation.
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to warehouse environments.
  • Experience working to ISO:9001 standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to change, and think on one's feet.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to convey information clearly.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working to ISO:13485 standards.
  • Qualifications in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and/or IOSH.
