Customer Account Manager
Job description
We’re looking for a bubbly, enthusiastic, and highly organised Customer Account Manager to join our client growing team. In this front-facing role, you'll play a vital part in nurturing customer relationships, keeping production on track, and ensuring smooth communication across departments.

Salary: Circa £25,000 per year
Day shift / Full-Time/Minimum 6 months contact
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for customers, building strong and positive relationships.
- Manage daily production schedules to ensure stock levels are aligned with customer needs.
- Accurately process sales orders and coordinate with purchasing on materials.
- Liaise regularly with the Production Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Technical Manager.
- Organise dispatches by working closely with haulage companies and preparing dispatch documentation.
- Set up and maintain Bill of Materials and packing specification data.
- Process pick and pack requests using our in-house stock system.
- Produce weekly/monthly customer stock reports.
- Reconcile consumption of goods against orders in a timely and accurate way.
- Support the ongoing implementation of our BRC and IMS quality management systems.
Performance Will Be Measured By:
- Stock accuracy and data integrity.
- Delivery performance (On-Time-In-Full – OTIF).
- Customer feedback, satisfaction levels, and complaint resolution.
- Efficiency and accuracy in planning and order processing.
What We’re Looking For: Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Confident communicator with a friendly, proactive approach.
- Great at building and maintaining relationships.
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of production flow, lead times, and packing processes.
- Sales and purchase order processing experience.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience using Sage Line 50.
- Familiarity with stock management systems and MS Access/Publisher/PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths & English.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- IT proficiency is a must—additional training (e.g., ECDL, NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service) is a bonus.
