Machine/Blending Operator

As a Blending Operator role within the company, the Blending Operator is responsible for ensuring that the correct standard operating procedures are followed when

Blending or emulsify liquid products with either an oil or water base

To ensure all traces of the high PH cleaning solutions have been removed

Ensure correct standard operating procedures are followed when cleaning vessels

Ensure Manufacturing instructions for liquids are followed correctly

Ensure Pre-Operational checklist is filled out correctly

Ensure Liquid Blending Production logs are filled out correctly

To blend raw materials to create the finished product within the set specification

To measure the temperature of a liquid product during production using an infa-red probe (temperature gun)

Report any issues regarding the equipment to Blending Supervisor

Details:

Health & Safety

Ensure to follow Health & Safety instructions in their designated area.

Ensure they are working in a risk-free environment wearing the correct PPE

Ensure they are compliant in company H&S requirements.

Ensure that all paperwork is correctly filled out in a timely manner

Ensure QC samples are taken after each blend

Ensure clean down procedures are followed correctly

Ensure to test PH of water samples after cleaning vessels

Quality/ Technical

Actively promote a "right first time" environment.

Ensure food safety is followed in the Blending of products

Ensure area standards are set and maintained.

Ensure the correct procedure is followed when weighing out liquid raw materials

Own responsibility of line clearance for manufacturing

Attainment to plan

Ensure plan is completed and discrepancies are reported accurately through works order compliance.

Ensure all equipment is running to agreed cycle time rates

Report any issues to Blending Supervisor Straight away

Staff development

Support other operators in their daily job tasks

Identify training needs with Blending Supervisor

Ensure all opportunities for training are realised.

Continuous improvement

Working with Blending Supervisor for departmental improvements

Support and guide team members to ensure improvements are delivered.

Identify potential areas of improvement.
