Machinery Equipment Parts Advisor - Kidlington/Oxfordshire - £24,000
Role: Machine Equipment Parts Advisor
Field: Machinery/Industrial Engineering/Customer Service/Service Counter/Telephone Sales
Reporting to: Parts Supervisor and Depot Manager
Salary: £24,000 plus 5% Commission

A Machine Equipment Parts Advisor is required to work for a leading machinery equipment manufacturer based around Oxfordshire.
The role:
The main purpose of this role is offer assistance in all sectors of the Parts and Service departments, including the workshop. This will involve assisting with customer enquiries/orders and make associated sales in order to meet customer targets and expectations as well as promoting and selling parts to new and existing customers.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong and positive relationships with customers
- Take parts orders and cross sell in order to meet company targets and support all campaigns
- Answer all in-coming calls and respond to messages promptly
- Maintain correct stock levels off the shelf and distribute parts accordingly
- Attend service counter area and take orders/enquiries from Service Engineers
- Ship parts using FedEx to remote Engineers
- Ensure parts for service jobs are picked and ready for the Engineer
- Action parts returns and document appropriate paperwork
- Ensure company credit control procedures are maintained at all times
- Ensure that the Parts department and Yard are kept clean and tidy
- Operate forklift in a safe and responsible manner
Skills and Experience:
- Parts background is desirable, however candidates with general knowledge of parts may be considered
- Automotive, truck or car experience, or dealership background is desirable
- Proven record of making calls resulting in sales is desirable
- Knowledge of ADP and TBS desirable but training will be given
- Clean driving licence and good driving record
- Forklift truck driving licence is desirable but training will be provided)
- Availability to work Saturday morning Rota as overtime (usually 2 in 5 Saturday mornings)
- Candidates must be willing to provide Proof of right to work in the UK
