We are currently recruiting for a Manual Machinist to work for a well established, industry leading company with a head office in Cwmbran. This is an ideal opportunity for an old school machinist who has the ability to read engineering drawings and operate a manual lathe.

As a Manual Machinist you will:

- Be experienced in working Manual Lathes / Semi CNC lathes and ideally possess some milling experience or welding skills.

- Machine one offs to small batches up to 3 tons in weight.

- Utilise a manual centre lathe and tooling to machine components as specified on drawings and as such, have the ability to read engineering drawings will be required.

- Work to a high standard, to tight tolerances with excellent attention to detail whilst being competent in all aspects of tool setting and have an understanding of cutting speeds and feeds.

- Use measurement and inspection equipment, such as verniers, bore gauges or micrometers.

We are looking for a highly motivated person who can work in a team and understand the importance of working in a safe, clean and orderly way, in conformance with ISO9001 standards.

Working times are:

Mon-Fri Monday 7.30am to 4pm (1/2Hr Lunch + 15 min paid break) Friday 7.30am to 11.30am

Including: Performance related bonus
