Job Description

Vibe Recruit are looking for a Band 2 Procurement Clerk for our well known NHS client, based in Cardiff.

Job Summary:

To assist in the delivery of an efficient, effective, quality sourcing service to the NHS in Wales ensuring that resources are maximised and that the service provides optimum solutions to customers so releasing resources for patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To manage and monitor the Action Point mailbox for the team. This will involve logging and resolving queries by either allocating to a team member or dealing with queries first hand.


2. To ensure queries are resolved in an efficient and effective manner, that the needs of the customer are met and that the customer is satisfied with any outcomes before finalising queries.


3. To manage the return of goods to suppliers in line with the "Return of Goods to Suppliers - Non Stock" policy, keeping customers fully informed with progress.


4. To complete the internal return of goods to supplier register.


5. To manage the set up of new suppliers in the oracle system by completing the relevant documentation and liaising with the Supplier Maintenance Team.


6. To support the timely and accurate dissemination of information to stakeholders and Suppliers via electronic means

7. To develop knowledge of contracts within the Local Procurement Team portfolio and to provide assistance to Team Members as directed.


8. To assist in developing specialist knowledge to enhance the service to the customers and to reflect changing market demands.


9. To adhere to and assist in the development of ISO/Quality procedures within the Organisation's quality framework


10. To provide advice to Procurement Services customers on relevant sourcing matters through a variety of means including telephone, email, meetings and written correspondence.


11. To assist in improving relationships with stakeholders in line with the Organisations quality framework and undertake customer surveys to enhance the approach.


12. To carry out any other duties as reasonably requested
