QUALITY COORDINATOR - CAERPHILLY
Reporting to: Quality Manager Shift available: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Purpose of the Role:
The coordination of the in-line Quality management process and to provide real time facilitation to the stakeholders with the objective of driving the continuous quality improvement actions required to achieve excellent levels of Quality.
Responsibilities:
* Auditing of the in-line Quality systems to ensure adherence to specified quality levels and standards, quality procedures and Standard Working Instructions
* Continuous line patrol, monitoring the actual line quality condition and escalating problems based on risk, severity and occurrence to line management
* Coordination of the quick resolution of quality issues with Production, Engineering and Materials teams - from temporary containment action to permanent countermeasures
* Daily analysis of line data and the timely provision of the necessary reports to all stakeholders
* Continually review the effectiveness of quality systems in conjunction with Quality and Production management
* Overseeing of QC inspector standards - allocation of inspection tasks, driven from agreed AQL sampling plans, sampling results and voice of customer and stakeholder feedback obtained
* Support to the MRB (Materials Review Board) in the identification of root causes of scrap units and the implementation of concrete countermeasures to the issues identified
* Control customer and supplier complaints
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages
* Excellent analytical skills
* Able to work under own direction and use initiative
* Experience in a customer centric environment, and evidence of being an effective communicator with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels
* Proven experience working within the quality group of an ISO9001 or an ISO/TS16949 accredited manufacturing company
* Six Sigma Trained - minimum yellow belt
