Stores Service Operative

Due to expansion, a leading supplier of process equipment and engineering solutions is looking to recruit a Stores & Service Operative to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for an organised & mechanically/electrically minded person.

Reporting to the UK Operations Manager, this role will be based at the Cwmbran facility. This is a full time, permanent position.

Salary - £27,000 per annum

Hours of work - 7:30-4:00 Monday-Thursday and 7:30-3:00 on Fridays

Duties of the Stores & Service Operative include:

• Carry out in-house service assembly, overhaul, and testing of the company's product range
• Monitor and control stock components from work-in-progress through to finished goods, ensuring accuracy, quality, and correct packaging of outgoing orders.
• Receive, handle, and inspect goods inwards and goods outwards, ensuring accurate inventory control within the main stores.
• Operate company equipment safely and effectively, including forklifts, tools, and testing equipment.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities with external freight forwarding partners.
• Adhere to the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and all Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Ideally the candidate would possess the following skills/experience:

• Practical hands on mechanical &/or electrical knowledge or experience
• Excellent interpersonal / communication skills.
• Proven technical problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
• Experience using inventory management systems and general IT systems
• Forklift/Counterbalance certification or relevant operating experience preferred.
