Production Shift Manager

Location - Ystrad Mynach 

Salary - £35,000 - £38,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all production operations during the assigned shift, ensuring efficiency and adherence to schedules.

• Maintain strict compliance with quality standards, ensuring consistent product output.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to the production team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous development.

• Manage shift resource planning, including staffing, absence cover, and overtime allocation to meet production demands.

• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve production or quality issues to minimise downtime and maintain standards.

• Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and reduce waste.

• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing actions to drive operational improvements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Proven background in production shift management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Experience in the FMCG or plastics industry is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams of production staff effectively.

• Strong commitment to health and safety, with a track record of promoting safe working practices.

• Hands-on experience implementing and supporting continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.
