Production Shift Manager

Location - Ystrad Mynach
Salary - £35,000 - £38,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate all production operations during the assigned shift, ensuring efficiency and adherence to schedules.

Maintain strict compliance with quality standards, ensuring consistent product output.

Provide leadership, coaching, and support to the production team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous development.

Manage shift resource planning, including staffing, absence cover, and overtime allocation to meet production demands.

Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve production or quality issues to minimise downtime and maintain standards.

Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and reduce waste.

Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing actions to drive operational improvements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
-
Proven background in production shift management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience in the FMCG or plastics industry is highly desirable.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams of production staff effectively.

Strong commitment to health and safety, with a track record of promoting safe working practices.

Hands-on experience implementing and supporting continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.
