Then we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join an expanding automotive industry leader with over 40 years' experience.

Purchasing Manager Benefits:

• Up to £46,000 p/a.
• Up to 10% bonus.
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

• Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.45pm & Friday 8am - 12pm.

Purchasing Manager Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to source the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
• Run tenders, evaluate bids, and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors.
• Negotiate, execute, and monitor contractual agreements with key suppliers.
• Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers.
• Demonstrate communication skills, with ability to interact unsupervised with clients, suppliers & internal stakeholders.
• Develop strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met.
• Attend and chair meetings with both local and central stakeholders.
• Keep up to date with trends and innovations, regulation and new technology that can impact on the business.
• To lead and manage engineering to achieve budgets and targets.
• Provide escalation support to colleagues in procurement to resolve supply issues.

Purchasing Manager Experience / Skills:

• Purchasing or supply chain procurement qualification.
• Previous experience at senior level preferable in an automotive environment.
