Position: Sales Manager

Location: Banbury

Type: Permanent

Reporting to: Commercial Manager

Our client who is a leading manufacturing and software company expanding rapidly is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team. You will be working alongside the Commercial Manager and wider Sales team to identify and recognise sales potential, target new and existing customers, and increase the company's market share with the UK.

Your responsibility will be the expansion and development of the market, building on existing and creating new accounts. This will be achieved by identifying the customer's requirements and aligning the company's business offerings to these opportunities with the ultimate aim of securing new business, improving customer satisfaction and ensuring ongoing, profitable growth within the sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting / Exceeding financial sales target and product mix targets
  • Correct technical solutions offered
  • Implementation of necessary activities in order to maintain and develop existing customers and Key Accounts
  • Consistent use of CRM system to provide regular reporting and update of account activity
  • Ensure Commercial terms applied, proposal submission and application specifications
  • Work with colleagues to develop accurate and relevant support materials / information
  • Establish solid working relationships with key account representatives
  • Participation / Manning exhibitions or events
  • Development of existing accounts both technically and commercially
  • Identification new sales opportunities and ensure that sales are achieved at an acceptable level of margin
  • Provide an efficient and friendly service of customer care through the prompt and professional handling of complaints and enquiries
  • Identification and prioritisation of New sales opportunities with accounts working at a strategic level
  • Establish and communicate new features and markets which will increase sales opportunities / volumes
  • Identification of new applications and services with existing customers
  • Product alignment to satisfy requirements
  • Preparing and working to budgets (Actual vs Budget), monitoring and awareness of competitors and contribute to sales strategy

Requirements:

  • Ability to respond and work well to change and pressure
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • A meticulous approach and a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Clean Driving Licence

Specific Skills:

  • Food / Packaging industry understanding (Essential)
  • Maintenance/Service Engineer, Aftersales or Sales background (Desirable)
  • Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Use of a CRM system
