Hours: Mon–Thurs 08:30–17:00 | Fri 08:30–16:00

About the Role

Vibe Recruit are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Crumlin for an experienced Purchasing Manager to take ownership of the procurement function and enhance overall supply chain performance. This is a pivotal role with a strong focus on Purchase Price Variance (PPV), cost control, and strategic sourcing, ensuring suppliers consistently achieve OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery.

The successful candidate will play a key part in developing a resilient supply chain, strengthening supplier partnerships, and positioning the business as a preferred customer. This is a hands-on, operational leadership role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on efficiency, cost management, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full purchasing cycle including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and order processing.
• Ensure timely, accurate procurement of goods and services aligned with company requirements.
• Build and maintain effective supplier relationships; assess performance and source new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and delivery.
• Monitor and analyse PPV across all purchasing categories, driving cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Produce and deliver procurement performance reports to the senior leadership team.
• Set, monitor, and achieve KPIs relating to cost, quality, and delivery, promoting a “right first time” approach.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three, encouraging accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven background in procurement and supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of business systems, cost analysis, and strategic sourcing.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Previous experience leading or managing small teams.
• Commercially astute, proactive, and results-driven.
• Customer-focused with a passion for continuous improvement.
