Why Vibe Is Taking on the Swansea Bay 10K for Cancer Research UK

This September, colleagues from across Vibe Recruit, Vibe Auto and Vibe Care will be coming together to take on the Swansea Bay 10K in support of Cancer Research UK.

While the event is a fantastic opportunity to challenge ourselves and raise money for an incredible cause, our reason for taking part goes much deeper than simply completing a race.

Like many workplaces, cancer has touched the lives of people across our Vibe family. It's a cause that means a great deal to us, making this year's challenge particularly significant. Taking part in the Swansea Bay 10K is our way of coming together to support one another while helping to fund the life-changing research that gives hope to millions of people.

Every year, around half a million people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer. Research has transformed survival rates over the last few decades, but there is still so much more to do. The money raised by Cancer Research UK helps fund pioneering research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, bringing us closer to a world where more people can live longer, healthier lives.

At Vibe, people are at the heart of everything we do. Every day we help individuals find new opportunities and support organisations in building strong teams. Taking on the Swansea Bay 10K is another way for us to come together, support one another and make a positive contribution beyond the workplace.

Over the next few months, our team will be fitting training runs around busy work schedules, family life and everyday commitments as they prepare to take on the challenge together. We'll be sharing training updates, introducing the runners, celebrating fundraising milestones and, no doubt, encouraging each other every step of the way.
