We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to join an industry leading, specialist manufacturer in Bala. As Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for overseeing, managing & improving all aspects of the supply and control of inventory, ensuring that all products are available on time to allow production and customer orders to be made and processed delivered on time and within budget.
Your primary duties will include selecting and once negotiated, maintaining vendor performance and delivery, managing stock availability and organising the stores to line side picking. You will need a strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
Your duties and responsibilities as Supply Chain Manager:
- Conduct consistent review of outstanding PO's to ensure production and customer demand is maintained
- Esurance that all production requirements are met and customer delivery achieved OTIF
- Review vendor performance and manage the relationships to achieve a maximum stock turn and quality accuracy
- Liaise with internal staff to manage min/max settings and vendors of Kanban systems
- Ensure stock condition and layout is maximised to ensure quality pick/pack and delivery
- Liaise with other engineers to develop and implement systems and processes that improve overall production operations - utilising LEAN practices.
- Maintain zero lost time status and ensure working practises are followed within the area and team
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and maximum output efficiency.
- Set department objectives & KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
